First & Last love

"I don't want to go back.. I wish it wasn't like this," I whisper quietly.

"I know I wish too." he answered without looking at me.

"I have to go, I'm sorry."

"I'll wait for you, I don't even care. You know that."

"Don't.. please.." its all I can manage without tears.

"Okay.. try not to forget me," he says with a half smile.

"Of course not," I say quickly kissing his cheek.

I turn away and don't look back. I hear his car start and begin to drive away.

"I love you!" he yells before hitting the gas and disappearing down the street.

"I love you too.." I whisper under my breath and walk towards the door. I stand there for a second before knocking. I hold my breath and wait.
