Have you ever knew why people smile so much? Or how they really feel inside? Have you ever knew how much sorrow you can find, behind just one single smile? If you ever find someone smiling on the streets, take a guess of how that person really feels on the inside. Either sorrow, neglect, or specialty. Just take a close look at them, and you will see how that person really feels. Read this poem to see how I think people feel, behind their smile.

It does get better.
People say it will get better. But to be fair, most of them never were in your place. They say you will get happy again, but how can they know? I've struggled with trauma, mental illnesses, and self harm for many years. These are (mostly) poems - about me and my journey of getting better. ! As this is about self harm and other previously mentioned topics, it might be triggering. I don't glorify it in any way, though. I'm also not a native English speaker. If you find any mistakes, please tell me so I can improve.

I'm broken beyond repair and yet... I still wish for someone to save the last pieces of me before I completely die away. I only have one wish...
