They were normal. Just eight normal teenagers who went to a normal school in a normal town that was near a normal city. Everything was well, normal. Until one had a thought. A want. A need. To leave. To get away. To run. To forget to exist. The normality bored her. It bored them all. So on that random night, they decided to do what others only think of. They left. They actually wanted to live their lives. So that's what they did. They did it to be reckless. To be free. To be unpredictable.

They left to accomplish the big things in life.

But sometimes, it's the little things you should pay attention to.

~Her words were my poison. I used them to consume myself. Disturbingly honest. Painfully strained. Carefully penned down. Dangerously addictive.~ A journal that landed in the right hands and told a whole story with words, no lips could speak. Two people bound by the pages of a book that tore their souls apart. He found it lying around and wondered what could go wrong. He didn't recognise the handwriting but he knew he instantly fell in love with it. Then it began. The assault of words on his life. He couldn't believe a word she wrote but somehow he did. He knew more about her than anyone else but he knew so little about who she was... It was maddening. How someone could have such an impact on you without having a single conversation with you. Her precious words tortured his existence, they drowned him in misery, created a black hole of words around him, gave him everything he needed to live. Made him fall in love. Gave him a world of his own. Made him believe in rainbows, unicorns, coffee, the basis of happiness, the meaning of every sunrise, the mystery of every deep ocean, she made him human. He knew he had to find her. He had to find out who she was. He had given him all the clues he needed but none of them were enough to prepare him for who she was. But sometimes... The journey is more important than the destination. Sometimes, the journey is the destination. A book full of stolen pages and a boy full of curiosity. This was how he let her shape his story. __________________ Description inside. Italics = Journal entry. 500 word chapters. So who will it be for this hopelessly unromantic girl? The brooding best friend? Or the young and unquestionably attractive substitute teacher? They say every person is worth the potential heartbreak of relationships not working out. That's why people still take that leap. But not me. Never been kissed, never had a boyfriend-I was pretty convinced by now that I was one of those mega-rare exceptions to the rule; the unlucky sap was just not worth the risk. And I'm totally fine with that. Romance and heartbreak? Not worth the hype in my book. Until life decided to get all snarky on me. "Fooled you, idiot! You'll get your love story...just not at all how you wanted it." Before I know it, I'm swept up in romantic turmoil more dramatic than anything my wildest playwright fantasies could dream up. Getting these very real, very adult feelings for the first time is bloomin' confusing. Lines will blur, tough choices will be made, and hearts will be deliciously broken. So who will it be for this once-hopelessly unromantic girl? My brooding best friend? Or my young substitute teacher?
