In a world where music is against the law, Creak, a young musician, finds herself as one of the king's targets. In order to protect her brother, Creak leaves him behind and flees their home village. Fighting the king's minions and her own internal battles Creak must make it to the rebels before she is caught by the young royal knight with mysterious eyes. But, traveling becomes a lot more dangerous when the king makes a wish that puts all musicians in danger. Will Creak survive or die trying to reach the rebels? What will happen to her brother?
