Tessa Gray Herondale was a warlock. She had to be a shadowhunter, too. Her life had been going well the past few years. She just started a relationionship with the sweetest and polite mortal she knew in New York, James Carstairs, also known as Jem. She’d been keeping a low profile, with the help of her long time best friend since the death of her husband, Will Herondale, Magnus Bane.
When the Clave are in need of Magnus’ help, she is willing to do whatever it takes to help him and by doing so, she once again has to take part of shadowhunter territory. And her being one of the most known Downworlders living, is a big risk.
But what happens when she meets a teenage shadowhunter, Alec, with the exact same looks as her late husband, which she was still in love with, in the process? To make it better, she couldn’t help but feel that Jem was hiding something. Will she be able to help Magnus and the Clave without her problems interfering?
