Summary: Your sort of typical teenager makes the easily avoidable mistake of opening a really suspicious package at her front door. Unsurprisingly, this careless action yields unforeseen consequences as she suddenly finds herself in a certain consulting detective's world. Surely her predicament isn't just some coincidence? (or a plot device her friends came up with to write a 22,000 word fanfiction about her) Well, not exclusively. Trouble is brewing, and it's up to our sort of heroine to find her way back home without destroying everything along the way.
Note: Written for a very special person. You know who you are. If you are not the person I wrote this for, you're welcome to read it anyway! Just keep in mind that there are a lot of inside jokes and memes that you won't understand. This story started out as a joke, but as with all things I come into contact with, I took it too far. Now it's a crackfic with an actual plot?

To his horror, John is somehow caught with the disease. The consulting detective finds himself on the most dangerous, and overwhelming case he has ever been on, one that will test his love for John. And that case is to find a cure for his best friend before he loses him to the strange, apocalyptic disease forever.
