There are two types of people in the world. Smilies are the people who are happy, rich, popular, and know all the latest trends. The Shadows are people who don't like the Smilies and the only where dark colors and they usually stay in dark alley ways. Liz is a Smiley and she was a happy normal teenager,until a shadow appeared with a knife when she was walking with her boy friend and stabbed him. Her boyfriend dies in the hospital. When he died, her heart died with him and she hated Shadows since then and she couldn't love again. Thats what she thought until she saw the new Shadow in her class and starts to develop feelings for him but she can't talk or have feelings for a shadow since it's against the rules. Will she brake the rules or will she forget about her feelings? Read to find out.

I had to admit, he was cute. His eyes sparkled nervously and his lips were a lovely shade of natural red. But for Trey, he intended for Laurel to be his last. Trey is heartbroken when Laurel leaves the Centre and moves away from town, never to see him again. Laurel has runaway from her foster parents, changed her name and even the colour of her hair. She's created a whole new persona for herself and never wants to revisit the past, but what happens when the most unlikely thing happens? What happens when Trey moves in just around the corner?
