After facing a devastating family tragedy, Maya Price is taken as a prisoner from her home in Diamond, Texas to a savage underground fighting ring in the dimension Leets. She makes a deal with the onyx who owns the fighting ring and every day fights for her life and the lives of others.

But Maya's fate is not tied to the fighting ring. After a successful rescue attempt, her friends bring her home. Together with Luz, Lamar, Ivan, and Paige, she will travel to unknown dimensions, searching for information that will help them defeat Leonas. The shifters will encounter beings they never knew existed, both good and evil, and hope that their powers of element and sensory manipulation will save them.

While Maya searches for the answers to overcoming her enemy, she will also encounter personal struggles that will cause her to question her value to her friends and family. Should she stay and help the other shifters fighting Leonas and his growing influence?

Or should she just disappear?
