Invisible

Invisible, Leah just wants to stay that way, the girl in the greenhouse who never asks for attention. Life has never been easy for her and for once she would just like to catch a break. Meeting Hunter Hayes makes both easy and invisible quite impossible though, as Leah soon finds out. Will Leah let Hunter in on her dark and secret past or will Hunter be left out in the cold? What's more, will the beautiful shop assistant Tori manage to steal Hunter's heart before he or Leah realize if they truly have something? Sometimes you just have to ask yourself, is it better to see or be seen? ------- "Why didn't you tell me?" I jump, Hunter is in the dark corner of the room, leaning against the wall. "Because I don't tell anyone." "I would've understood." His words reach me and then I can't see through my tear-filled eyes. I close them and shake my head. "No you wouldn't, you can't. I still don't." I hear his feet shuffle, I'm scared he's going to come over to me. I put my head in my hands. "Well, if you ever need to talk, if you need anything... I'm here. That's what friends are for." "Thanks but I'll be okay." I push out in the most normal voice I can manage. I'm broken, can't he see that? Why does he want to be friends with a broken girl? I hear him leave and I take my hands away from my face, staring at the closed door. 'Friends.' I think, that's how Jacob and I started. But look how that turned out. A/N: this book deals with serious topics such as PTSD, trauma, and abuse. If you would like to do more research on these topics to understand Leah I encourage you to do so. Her inner mind is a mess for the reason that her life experiences are weighing her down. It's never shameful to get help if you find yourself in any kind of similar situation. It isn't always easy to accept help, but if someone offers or you need to ask take the help. You deserve to piece yourself back together again.
