Me and my dark side

I was in the darkness so darkness I became. Monsters and demons exist. Sometimes, they win.

My name is Emily Hayden. I am 18 years old. I am a mix between a human and a demon. My parents died when I was young, by a fire that mysteriously happened. There is a demon living in my body, and it is a thing of hatred, and evil. I am a kind, compassionate human girl. We are not a great mix together, obviously. Because of this cursed demon my life is in tatters. I have been transferred country to country, because people believe that I am not normal. Nobody wants me. Nobody loves me. I can't blame them. The longer this demon chooses to stay in me, the more impossible to get it out.
I try to get on with my life, but its constant whispering fills my head, sometimes I go mad. I can feel its coldness reaching my head. It's only a matter of time before me and the demon become one. I don't know how to stop it. If the demon becomes one with me, then all of the world is doomed.
Nothing can withstand its darkness. I sometimes wonder, who will stop me?
