These are a series of stories I made up for my 5yo as bedtime stories. She has trouble going to sleep, so I tell her to lie down and close her eyes and listen, then at least her body and mind have a chance to wind down.
I don't like kids stories that rely on witchcraft and magic spells or fairies etc. The central plot device is a flying knitted blanket - idea pinched from Arabian Nights' flying carpet. At no point is it controllable or described as 'magical', although there is nothing to stop you calling it magic yourself.

The Light switch
Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night, with a chill down your spine and a shiver reaching from your head to your toes? Then reaching down for your nice warm duvet, did you discover it mysteriously crumpled at the bottom of your bed? If so, it is my pleasure to tell you that you have been visited by the magical ... Blanketsnatchers. Now don't be scared or alarmed, these wonderful creatures may look strange, but they are the kindest people you could ever hope to meet. They are the friends of children all over the world, and it's they who tidy your rooms at night, making sure everything is as it should be while you sleep, and most importantly, that you have nice dreams. A Blanketsnatcher stands about as tall as a twelve-year-old child, but with arms and legs so long they look like squiggly spaghetti. Their hair only comes in the brightest colours, is completely impossible to keep tidy, and always matches their clever shining eyes. The last thing you really need to know about a Blanketsnatcher before we move on to the story, is their incredibly special stripy jumpers. A Blanketsnatcher is not like us with different outfits for different days, but instead has a single stripy jumper that they will wear all their lives. As each year passes on their birthday all their friends and family will add another stripe, so as the Blanketsnatcher grows older their jumper grows longer and longer. In fact, some of the older Blanketsnatchers have jumpers so long they need sewing up at the bottom and they no longer walk but are carried by magical winged butterfly clips. Once a Blanketsnatcher gets to such an old age, they usually stay in their home of Blanket Town and no longer fly on the duvet whales that take them from their world to ours. That should now be enough for us to be getting on with our story, so let's begin with the story of the first human ever to enter the magical world of the Blanketsnatcher ...Abgeschlossene Geschichte

Distancing herself from the people at school has become lonely, but everything changes when a group of bad boys that she meets after curfew one night transfer to her school and begin to take an interest in her; one even more than the rest. But will they be able to protect her when events from her past re-surface and begin to get her into more trouble than she ever wanted? ********************** We were a circuit, electricity flowing through us at every connection, every light touch igniting a heat that was exhilarating but dangerous. Like we could catch fire and burn to the ground at any second. "Did you take your own advice? Did you ever forgive yourself?" I whispered, my words evaporating in the heat around us. He moved towards me, trapping me against the car door as his lips traced over my jaw, down to my neck. "This," he whispered, his thumb tracing the waistband of my jeans, making my breathing falter. "Allowing myself to feel this happiness, to feel you...this is me forgiving myself." He kissed me, calming the raging storm in me and igniting a new one. What about the book readers? what about the children who could not afford the game itself? Therefore I decided to be a narrator, to write one, a fan fiction (retaining the rhyming style in my writing) for all those who did not know about such a story; children, adults, and all who still have the child's heart within (him/her)self.
