This is just a story that I randomly came up with. We all know that Jamie is Melanie's younger brother. And we know that Melanie probably wasn't the only host that somehow still existed in her body, even with a Soul in there. This is where thirteen-year-old Laina comes in. She was best friends with Jamie when they were younger, but after Melanie and Jamie disappeared, she was forced to become a host. When Laina- known as her Soul, Autumn Skies- shows up near Uncle Jeb's house, things start to go off. Another girl, awake in her mind, a disease that was kept secret for years, and plenty of betrayal, surprise, and even happiness. Can Laina and Jamie- with the help of everyone else, of course- keep their worlds from falling apart, as well as tear down the wall that years apart have built between them? Or will the human resistance fall- and with it Jamie and Laina's hopes of ever overcoming not only the Souls, but also their confusing feelings? Set sometime between when Wanda wakes up in Pet's body and when they find out that there are other parts of the human resistance.

Brave Enough To Love Again by CalliopeBlythe

I stood with my back to her, shielding her, and my murderous eyes stared down at the poor excuse of a man, promising unimaginable pain if he dared to move or even flinch. The enormity of control it took me to suppress the impulse to eradicate the piece of scum, who dared to even think about laying a hand on a woman, was inconceivable. My whole body was trembling with rage. The guy was intimidated by the fury in my eyes and stumbled back to his intoxicated friends who were too dazed to understand the situation. I was disappointed and relieved at the same time that the chaos didn't end in a fist fight. When I turned around to console her, she was gone. And as I looked around, I saw her back just leaving the bar through the entrance. I hurried out to follow her. She walked ahead of me aimlessly and disoriented like a wounded animal that had just escaped the claws of death. My heart ached for her. I found a kindred soul in her. She evidently had been wounded in the past. Just like me. But in an even worse way than I had been hurt, and it angered me, that someone had dared to harm her. *** Eden Marie Simmons is still recovering after escaping an abusive relationship when she meets Keane, the broody and enigmatic neighbor who is shrouded in mystery. Both are still being haunted by their past and are not ready for a new commitment, but when fate repeatedly puts them in each other's paths, they can't deny their attraction for each other. Life challenges them both with secrets, lies, and broken trusts, and confronts them with their pasts. They both must learn to be brave enough to love again. *** Story is previously called "Paradise Lies"
HER Young Mate (Completed) by EmilyUnedited
110 parts Complete Mature
Coralie loves freedom. And she has always had it. Her mother died during child birth, birthing her and her twin brother Owen, and her father treated them like little adults because of it. He had always been firm, but fair, but always gave them the responsibilities and consequences of adults. Their pack was large, and she was so proud to be a part of it; she couldn't wait for the day that she could run their whole territory, from the sandy southern shores to the muddy forests of the North. Her and Owen accompanied their father, the Alpha, on many occasions, clinging to his fur as he ran through the moonlight, until both of them fell asleep in the early morning light. She couldn't wait to be part of it all first hand though, running, howling, flying over the ground, and most of all the freedom! There was only one part of the changing she wasn't ready for; having a mate. She wanted to avoid it at all costs, though it happened to most people the first few days, she wanted to be a rare case who never found one. She would not go looking for him, ever... but what happens when he finds her? [Warning; this story deals with real life issues that may be triggering/inappropriate for young readers and/or readers who are sensitive to certain subjects. If you would like to know what subjects are involved before reading feel free to ask (so I don't have to spoil the story by giving anything away here)!] [Finally: if you become a reader I love you, you're awesome! Not your average rejection story. Usually the boy does something stupid - and keeps being stupid - the girl forgives and forgets and gets pulled in by the mate bond. Ignoring all his transgressions because 'the bond said so'. Not this time, sometimes fate gets it wrong and sometimes you grow out of things; like love. Vivian Clark is a mostly normal girl, as normal as you can be when you're more than eccentric mother is the head of a coven of witches. Something that; according to her, is a long standing tradition and more people need their apothecary than Viv realizes. While Vivian practices magic and identifies as a witch, it's more of a religion than a lifestyle in her eyes. She doesn't know there are very real powers laying dormant in her bloodline, and very real creatures that not only lurk in the night but often lurk on her doorstep. Trevor Erikson; a hot shot jock, a playboy, and Mr. Popularity, he could have any girl he wants and often does. Going from one to another and enjoying every minute of it. Despite the fact that he's a werewolf and an alpha's son, he could care less about fated mates or finding a luna for his pack. Which he'll eventually take over at the end of the school year. He doesn't take it too well when his fated mate shows up unannounced, and he does what any asshole would do. He rejects her at first sight. How will the two manage with a rejection floating between them for the remainder of the school year? ************************************** A fast-paced romance with mature scenes, all based in a fantasy world. If that's your vibe this is your story to read. This is my second work and I had to get it out of my brain cause it's all I could think of while writing a completely different book, there will be slow updates.
