Maia thought her day could never get worse when she had her first argument with her mom Christina, never have they once got into an argument that made her walk out the house. But even though she considered it the worst day it was also the best day since that was the last time she had a normal day. That day she met the Ifrit brothers, four brothers new to town in Kyoto, Japan. They brought Maia the magic her mother never taught her but needed to protect herself from someone from her mother's past. Coming for her, the heir to the throne her mother left a long time ago for peace away from wars and atrocities. And also away from the man her mother loved and the man she would have called father if he knew of her considering he is a God and is very busy. So what will Maia do with her new powers to control elemental spirits in each category which is rare, and also towards the feelings she has for the brothers that came into her life?

|Book 1 of the Spirit Trilogy| Serena's life is about as normal as it gets - for an Alkanine at least - aside from her, slightly patriotic mother and obvious lack of fighting ability, for a citizen of Yanrie. Its pretty good for her, especially when her sister returns home from the front lines of the Zaross war right before her 15th birthday, the best present she could have. But upon meeting a boy from the neighboring kingdom of Miral she finds that the week leading up to her birthday may be a bit...chaotic, to say the least. (I fixed up the description. Because it sucked and now it doesn't...for now, let me look back on this in...say a month? And it'll suck again) Big thanks to @CateCandora12 for the epic cover!
