Fantasy one-shot written for a contest!

When crazy Aunt Rose suddenly passes away, Gemma is the lucky recipient of of a strange gift left just for her. Inside the ordinary brown box is a watch that is anything but ordinary. Instead of numbers, the face is adorned with two phrases: happily ever after and certain doom. Take a guess at which delightful phrase the watch's one and only hand is pointed towards. Against her better judgement, Gemma puts the watch on. She suddenly finds herself far from home, in one of the last remaining magical realms. Haven is in trouble and Gemma has been called as the last surviving descendant of the guardians, the bloodline meant to be the sole keepers and protectors of Haven and all its people. Whether she likes it or not, Gemma is the last hope for a slowly dying world.
