It's 1829, Ectoplasmic energy powers the city.  Madeline and John "Jack" Fenton are ectolarks, low class laborers who "muck" through the river for residual ectoplasmic energy. It's a dangerous job, but it's worth it. 
     Their son Daniel "Danny" Fenton, when working a tragic day at the ectoplasmic energy machine explodes and he becomes half ghost. So do hundreds of others become full ghost. 
      Now  he is valuable source of ectoplasmic energy and has a huge bounty on his head.

The Fenton's have never been the brightest people in Amity Park but when a trip to the Ghost Zone is announced Danny knows that he is screwed. Sam and Tucker have shut him out but with his new friends and family to protect, his life just gets a bit more complicated. Danny knows that secrets don't stay secrets for long, but a person can dream. The Fentons have never been to the Ghost Zone so what's the harm in taking a bunch of teenagers with them? Well, when going on a field trip into the unknown anything can happen.

By this, Danny had given up everything and wishes to die. Only to be saved by someone unexpected. Or not... Now time is running as Danny must find a way to get rid of the curse before it's too late. Danny and White had a hard enough time keeping their secret in the human world. But now their class is going on a field trip right into the belly of the beast, the Ghost Zone. Danny will have to make double sure to keep his ghost half secret while White works to keep his siren powers in check. Their worlds might come crashing down just because of hormonal teenagers, stubborn parents, and ghosts with really bad timing. And it only gets worse once the twins start having memory flashbacks.
