In The Empire, no one has a soul and everyone is a subjugate to the Powers; the royal family. And the worst part is: no one even knows it. They can't think; the Powers think for them. They do what the Powers say or what The Voice says. Duke Whitings is one of the helpless, soulless people in The Empire. He makes a mistake that will change his life forever. This is his story. His story on how he found out that the best people, aren't really so great after all.
