These are just some short stories/one shots I've written. This won't be updated regularly by any means. It will be updated when I have an idea or a request. If you have something you would like to read, leave a comment and I'll try to write something up for it. Overall, most of these will probably be ideas or scenes I thought of for my other Hunger Games books but it didn't quite fit in with the story lines so I took them out. It's A Jungle Out There
"First things first, I did not try to kill myself." Katniss' life seems perfect. Captain of the Cheerleading Squad, amazing grades, a gorgeous boyfriend (sort of) and an extremely bright future. However, one day everything seems to fall apart as she discovers that she is flunking math and will have to repeat the course if she doesn't pass. That night she is found unconscious in her bathroom surrounded by a pills and soaked with tap water. Treated like a bomb about to go off, nobody believing her when she says it's all a misunderstanding, the only person Katniss can turn to is Peeta. When it comes to love Katniss pushed the boundaries that nobody thought she would push, her feelings for Johanna Mason, another survivor along with a torture survivor grow stronger than her feelings for Gale or Peeta ever did. My own Mockingjay post book Katniss has been slowly losing herself. Along with a lot of people after the war. She isolates herself and neglects everyone and everything. Except for Buttercup and Sae. When her emotions get the best if her and she nearly ends it all, she comes out of her shell. She tries to heal and live again. She does more after Peeta comes home and plants the primroses for Prim. We know her story. But have you ever wondered what it was like on the home front, in District 12? This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination. What if the famous Mockingjay from the hunger games never killed President coin and killed Snow instead. Katniss Everdeen is married to Peeta Melllark the love of her life and are back in district twelve. Coin kept the games and Prim is still dead. Mrs. Everdeen lives in katniss's old victor home and is a grandmother to twins. Diana Mellark and Finnick Mellark. Gale lives in district two with his own family. Haymitch is a grandfather because he married Katniss's mom after all they went through. Katniss and Peeta's kids are very different. Diana is like Katniss and has her skills with a bow and arrow and hunting. She has her father's talent with a sword, painting, and baking. Finnick on the other hand is like his aunt Prim and grandmother. He likes to take care of people. The story starts with Diana as a seventeen-year-old on the day of the reaping of the 99th hunger games. The Mellarks have a track record for being in love with their district partner. Will it happen again with one of their kids. Also Katniss, Peeta and Haymitch don't have to be mentors. I don't own the characters of the original hunger games.
