Clove, who's nearly fifteen, is a young girl living in the small town of Gaberndy, Ohio. A year ago her father had disappeared, leaving her and her mother in silent shambles. Though when a boy named Matthew suddenly appears in Clove's life, a chain of events surface. From mysterious excavation files, to an unsupervised trip to the Boreal forest... although, when they arrive to her father's secret excavation site within boreal, something uncovers an amazing discovery that would explain the disappearance of Clove's father. Not only does the conclusion of their journey over land uncover the personal questions had for Clove, but it also highlights the many details that were sprouting up throughout their travel. They are more than mind-blown by what kind of a world is revealed to them.
