Cam's battle with Darkness has been endless. An endless life of fighting had changed him. Those who cared for him had noticed but no-one understood what had damaged him in such a way. Cam slowly drifted away from anyone he held close. He knew that if he strayed from his path of solitude then anyone dear to him would suffer. This was his past, his present and would forever more be his future. For Cam knew that one day in the very near future, Darkness would win.
Jay's life hasn't be easy. If she were to let herself befriend people, she would damage them in ways she wishes she didn't. It was never intentional, but she knew that it would always happen. She distanced herself from the little family she had left and moved into a large house alone, with no one but herself for company. For years she forced herself to traipse through the never-ending, silent rooms everyday to remind herself to ensure that she was always alone in the world, no-one to scar, no-one to care for her and end up in pain.
Life has been a struggle for both and it doesn't help that their lives are endless. Never aging, never changing, never dying.
Neither had a reason to live, but soon they will...

This is my first story so bear with me. This follows the TNMT movie from 2007, with of course you the lovely reader being added. This isn't the 2012 universe, it has nothing to do with that storyline. It was in that time a warrior king named Yoatl led a brotherhood that fought side by side with one purpose: To conquer the kingdoms of the world. Yoatl had a daughter, Y/N, who fought against his will. She believed her family to be wrong, but trained among them to one day stop her father. But nothing could stand in their way... as they left a trail of destruction behind them. In his quest, Yoatl learned of a constellation known as the stars of Kikan. Every 3,000 years, the stars would align, opening a portal to a world of unknown power. Y/N tried to reason with him, but it was too late. He became immortal, but at a price. His brotherhood was turned to stone. And Y/N? She was forced into immortality alongside her father, as the gods saw punishing her for his wrongdoings was a fitting fate for the king. 13 monsters were unleashed into our world. Seven years flew by as Kira watched everyone else from afar while training her angels for battle. Ceciellia and her coven continued to run a private magic school with the help of Alice and the others, expanding the diversity of their army and training recruits. Everyone played a role and had their pieces to contribute to the cause, teaching different types of classes to various creatures so that they could learn to use the gifts they were either born with or given later on. When Alice and Tate weren't teaching at the school, they were off doing what they did best: hunting demons that managed to slip through the cracks. Anna, Luna, Rain, and Claire continued their research to create more cures for different creatures while teaching and caring for the unique students of the school. Alex, Damon, and Caleb also taught classes and maintained security and safety for those who lived at the house containing a portal door leading to the magic school and the students living in its dorms. The special children, either born from Lucifer and Kira's bloodlines or those with ancestors who passed down pieces of Lucifer's shattered soul, had grown up, and after turning 18, they'd stopped aging physically. Just like their parents, they also continued to face obstacles of their own over the years, as with every passing year, their powers grew stronger as they trained how to use them. Though they were not the only ones. Lucifer was getting closer; they were getting closer. Kira could feel it, and so could Alice and Tara. It's almost like that strange feeling where a person feels as if someone is standing behind them, but when they turn around, no one is there. The intensity of those feelings crept closer and stronger with each passing year. It was only a matter of time before Hell's gates would open, and once more, Lucifer would come for Kira, as well as everyone and everything she loved, including Tara, Alice, and anyone standing in his way.

Until she gets released from juvie unexpectedly, given a probation officer, and forced to live with a normal family and go to a normal school. Carmen doesn't even know the definition of normal. Much less family, or school. Separated from the only system she's known and has stayed constant all her life, she finds it hard to adjust to the world outside the concrete building. The structure and rules aren't the same. In juvie, rules were like opinions, people ignored them. But in the real world, supposedly it wasn't socially acceptable to steal cash, or graffiti the front of the school building. Enter the Harrisons, the family who's taking care of her. The matriarch of the family hates her criminal record. Sammy, the seven-year-old, is too clingy, too innocent, and too naive to understand anything. Then there's Jay, the guy she's forced to share a room with. A self-righteous son of a bitch, Jay doesn't understand Carmen and doesn't understand her self destructive way of thinking. Though he's not bothered by her, he's fascinated with her. The family represents the structure and rules that Carmen doesn't, nor wants to, understand. But as Carmin starts to push back at the structure and rules suddenly rushed into her life, it starts to change. Her whole way of living is thrown off balance, what she deems normal isn't. And through a series of events, she starts to spiral out of control, and she doesn't know if someone can pull her up from that. Carmen was given a second chance, but is it a good chance, or is it just another recipe for getting thrown right back to square one, like she always is?
