Everything about Esther Skye Hale is a secret. From her photographic memory, to the fact that she knows everything to ever happen as if she was there, which there has been speculation that she has, all the way down to the fact that she is a spy. Yes. A spy. Like the kind you see in action films. She disappeared from the world when she was twelve to live in a training academy in one of the tallest Sky scrapers in New York City. In the four years since she disappeared, she has mastered most things, technology, agility, disguise, and people skills. The only thing she has left is combat. And she has never attempted anything harder. And it doesn't help that her instructor and frenemy, Jace, wants her to put all her focus into training, the department head wants her to train two new recruits who could change her life. 17 year old Warner, and 14 year old Fiona, the only other girl like Esther. Even in looks.
