On 31 October, 1981, the most feared dark wizard, Lord Voldemort, was defeated for the first time by a one-year old boy. Ten years later, Neville Longbottom is living with his grandmother Augusta, a witch of prodigious skill. He believes that he is an ordinary boy with a lightning shaped scar on his chest, and whose parents have died in an accident.
It is not until he receives his letter to Hogwarts that he learns that he might not be as ordinary as he thinks.
