She is a genius that didn't want to fade to normal, she wanted to be different from others.
She didn't want to become normal, she wanted to be known, not as a normal individual but someone eccentric and unique. Not only is she a genius in academics but also in the waters, physically and mentally.
Her hatred for the world, though, never changed.
