The fastening of a piece of string or rope, that keep the two objects together. Knots can vary from tangled and messy to delicate and pretty. Some knots can be undone, letting the strings go. But once and a while, if you are lucky, some knots will stay connected forever, refusing to let go. It just depends how you tie it.
