The Brown Leather Book

She doesn't know her name, all she knows is her mother is dead and her father takes his anger out on her. She doesn't know peace, she doesn't know joy, at least not until she stumbles upon her mother's brown leather book. She reads stories about a Father and his Son, and she reads of happiness and joy and she won't stop until she learns all about what her mother's journal says.
