"April what were you screaming about last night?" Luke asked April dying to know the reason why he had awoken to the girl he had become very fond of screaming at the top of her lungs in the dead of night.

"I just had a nightmare that I saw a ghost." April answered trying not to go in to too much depth. If anyone found out their life would be in jeopardy along with hers.

A small smile formed on Luke's face at a nightmare over such a silly thing to have a nightmare over. "You know that ghosts aren't real right?" Luke said and let out a little laugh.

April's hand that had been tracing the ink on Luke's skin stopped immediately. "Not that type of ghost." she barely mumbled wanting so badly to tell him everything, but she cared too much to put his life in danger

Luke became very confused as he thought of another thing that someone might call a ghost. He was stumped. "What do you mean by 'Not that type of ghost'?"

"Luke, ghosts are romanticized to be some creature that lurks in the dark and looks like a big white sheet like Caspar the friendly ghost. Sometimes they are made out to be a human that looks kind of fuzzy. That's not really what they are. They aren't friendly in the slightest. They are the returning and haunting of an image or memory." April paused before continuing "And in my case, the ghost of survivor's guilt can be so unkind."

Write about me

28 parts Complete

"I saw you last night, at Starbucks, I don't think you saw me though, you looked pretty concentrated on what you were writing." I started giggling and hid my face in my hands. "What?" "I was thinking of a name to use for one of the main characters in my story I'm writing and I heard the barista call your name and I thought it was such a beautiful name so I used it." He looked so touched. "You're writing a story about me?" His hand was over his heart. "That is the most heartwarming thing I've ever heard." "Well, It's not really about you... just your name." His smile fell from his face. "Well, why don't you just write about me then?" "I don't know you though." He leaned in closer. "Isn't that what writers do? They make things up." He put his arm around the back of the couch; his fingers lightly touched my shoulder and I felt myself blush again. "I guess, ya." "Good. Then it's settled. You're going to write about me." He said with that breath taking smile.
