In the winter of Lizzie's second year of college her life falls apart. She is diagnosed with a severe mental disorder and starts to loose touch with reality. Lizzie soon becomes penniless and homeless. Her boyfriend can no longer can handle her situation and contacts her parents who she has been estranged from Lizzie for two years. Upon hearing the news of their daughter's situation, Lizzie's parent's relocate her across the country to seek treatment and therapy. As she struggles to regain her independence and recover from her losses, she decides to keep her symptoms secret so everyone thinks she is making a recovery. Lizzie begins to have fantastical dreams that take her to another dimension in a fantasy realm. A dream world that is so real that she begins to question reality itself. Upon discovering this hidden power she begins using it to purposely escape from the real world while she is asleep. Everything changes when she becomes close to a mysterious, yet hauntingly beautiful man who doesn't want her to return to the real world. Things get out of control when Lizzie can't wake up from the fantasy realm by choice and return to reality...
