In the small city of Ponatica, four unlikely human beings cross each others' paths. Sean Kennedy knows where he's from and what is likely lying ahead, but his real identity is but a mystery. Abby Blankenship's secrets are barred for the world to see, no shame, no regrets, but on the inside, she feels nothing but shame and regret. Melody Kaiser experiences nightmares and demons only she can face, and Evan Novak only wants his one question answered: why am I what I am?

This story explores the deep concept of true identity, how we all struggle to find out who we really are, but in the process of discovering who we really are, we never like what we find. Too often we discover monsters and darkness instead of angels and light, and the novel asks a question none of us really know: who am I?
