Eighteen year old Princess Kyler is the heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Norden. At the age of seventeen she was betrothed to the son of one of her father's dukes, Sir Ale's son Jacobi. When her father dies of an unknown illness, she becomes the queen, and Jacobi the king to rule by her side.
But being the king isn't enough for the treacherous man.
Jacobi sends an assassin to the palace of Raymont, who brutally murders the beloved elderly queen who rules there. Queen Kyler is blamed.
As the kingdom is recovering from its shock, the new king of Raymont, King Malik, the heir, decrees that unless Kyler is sent away, Raymont will go to war with Norden.
Trying to keep her people safe, Kyler is forced to become a servant in the palace of Ironridge, a kingdom run by the malicious young King Zenos.
There, she meets another servant named Jasper, who could possibly help her escape and regain her rightful throne.
But will she be able to escape the wrath of Zenos? Will she be able to defeat Jacobi and take back the throne? Or will she give in to the growing attraction between her and the servant, and run away to keep her and her love safe?
