Alex Jacov is a senior in high school and has everything he could dream of. Money, a car, great friends, a spot on the football team, and has the attitude and cockiness to prove it. Isabelle's life, on the other hand, could not get much worse. her father is abusive, her mother died, she lives in complete poverty, is bullied at school all the time, and is not looking forward to her second year in High. She almost never talks to anyone anymore and hates it when people give her pity. But when a game of truth or dare with Alex and his friends gets ultra competitive, Alex accepts a dare that is way over his head: To get Isabelle to go out with him.
