Caroline is thirteen years old and can run like a deer. When the track coach finds out, he starts having her run against more formidable opponents- college students. Caroline thinks running will help keep her out of trouble. What she doesn't know is that she's being watched, (more like examined), by a bunch of scientists. They think she's the perfect test subject, the one who'll survive their wicked experiments. When she's kidnapped, Caroline finds herself running again; running for her life.
