A girl drowning in the hatred and fear this new world holds, monsters like those from her nightmares threatening her every move. Alone and lost, the way she had been for months and years.
But then she gets found by a group who have faced the horrors of the ones that eat others and the bandits and the crazy ones. And an unsuspecting redneck who becomes the one trying to protect this little girl not just from the world, but from herself...

"But if you don't have other people why would you want to live? Why live to be alone?" Michonne seemed like she understood what I was saying. Like she had felt that before, but was trying to tempt me out of the mindset.

"Cuz livin' alone is still livin'," I shrugged and looked down at my knees.

"No it ain't. It's existin' but not livin'," Daryl briefly joined in from where he stood facing away from me in the corner.

"I would rather exist than live. No strings attached," I admitted and Daryl dropped his head down.

"I never thought I'd meet somebody more damaged than me, yet here we are," he murmured, only just audible.

"I like being damaged. Damaged people are dangerous. They know how to survive," I was proud of this statement. That I knew it mostly.

Michonne looked at me with pity, uncertain of what to say. I couldn't blame her really. She just bit her lip.

Daryl spoke for her, a quiet whisper of," I know."

And that was when I knew.

Welcome to season 2! This is a fanfiction of the Walking Dead show ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SNEAK PEEK! "I don't need no nurse to look after me," he snapped at me, angry, and I frowned at him. He turned away from me after looking down "Quit being a baby...it will only take a second Daryl," I told him, moving to stand where I knew he could see me. "What happened?....why are you avoiding me?'' I asked, seeing him turn to look away. "Daryl?" "You were right to want to kill em" Daryl finally spoke up with a whisper. I frowned and felt my breathing quicken with the idea. "He said somethin about... the men messing with some young girls. " He spoke, but I could hear the anger in his voice. "Beat the shit out of em just because of that..." He said and turned away from me. I thought that was it until he just kicked something of his over making a loud bang "son of a bitch" he snapped and sat down and held his head low. I walked over to him and stopped just a foot from him "what he said reminded me of....you..." he said and shook his head "Because of what happened to you...I remember how skiddish you were back then...if I had known what he was doin I would have beat the shit out of him too....I don't want that happening again..." he said and finally looked up to me. I didn't know what else to say. I just looked at him now knowing he cared about me more than he showed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *I DO NOT OWN ANY CHARACTERS FROM THE WALKING DEAD, OR STORYTELLING AND ALL CREDIT GOES TO ORIGINAL WRITERS AND SHOW. 𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐞.❞ Daryl Dixon had a terrible upbringing. From his alcoholic and abusive father to his always absent older brother due to military. He was always the outcast, a lone wolf if you will. But when he meets Kendra Kelly, the millionaires that live upon a hill on a mansion, he begins to see the beauty in someone and slowly falls madly in love with her. To her heavily made up face, to her sweet laugh, Kendra Kelly is easy on the eyes. So when Daryl asks her to move in, her mother, a woman who loves and takes pride in her image (especially money), is furious, hating Daryl because he has no money for their daughter. Yet when the zombie apocalypse hits, after they have long broken up due to this, the first person he thinks of is his first ever love, Kendra. They eventually find each other, Kendra being in a group with her new boyfriend, Markus Hay. They have no choice but to put old feelings aside, survival the main focus. Follow along with these two poignant characters (Daryl Dixon and Kendra Kelly) that are, undoubtably, the antithesis of one another. The saying goes, "opposites attract." But how long will this actually remain true? Especially when the only world they've known has gone to shit... Buckle up for some extreme mayhem. *Warning* This story includes strong language, sexual scenes, violence and triggering topics. 64 parts Complete

The world has changed...or ended. It depends on how you look at it. The undead roam the streets, hungry, never full. They search for human or animal flesh to fill the void of their bottomless guts. One bite and you're doomed; doomed to become one of them, unless your brain is destroyed. Now we know that, even if you die, you turn. What would you do to keep your family safe? A lonely girl, a broken redneck, and a group of people so different you'd have never thought they could get along. Hope cares for her group more than she has ever cared for anyone ever before, and she is willing to do anything to protect the ones she loves. When she finds out that she's expecting a baby, she only grows more determined to keep him or her safe. Along with this, she's dealing with the new experiences that come with being a wife to a certain redneck. Daryl wants nothing more then for a world where Hope will be safe, away from harm, and there's nothing threatening to take her away from him. With the extra knowledge of Hope's pregnancy combined with the new role of being a husband, he's determined to be a better man. For her, he feels like he has to. Once again, Hope and her group must find a way to survive, like they already have been for years. Once they get out of Terminus, all they have to do is find the next safe haven. Then, they see how long it lasts. Book Two in the Apocalypse Angel Trilogy
