Almost everyone Lilian Rae has ever met has either been killed or seriously hurt in some sort of terrible accident. Even her parents. The only exception is her older brother who moved away when he married, whom Lilian hasn't seen for a number of years. After her grandmother dies of a mysterious illness, Lilian has nowhere to turn but to her brother. Worried for his wife's safety, but concerned for his sister, Lilian's brother allows her to move in on one condition; 

She must remain in her room 24/7 and never lay eyes on his wife. Slowly the effects of the isolation take hold of her, and Lilian starts to realize a power she never knew she had. A power like that of the students at the Heartwick Academy for Rare Talent.All Rights Reserved

My scrawny legs were toned like a dancer. I reached down and lifted my shirt, revealing two subtle lines running vertically down my perfectly flat stomach, hinting at the rock-hard abs underneath. My whole body was rippling with strength. Like liquid steel.
