Quick notice- { This work is going through a major overhaul. The plot will remain the same, but I intend to improve on some of the writing. Also, the contents of this book contain spoilers for the events of Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Awaking. Although, playing the games prior is not required to enjoy this. The story fills in all needed information for any reader.}
Ten years have passed since the events of Dragon Age Awaking. Maria, the Queen of Denerim lives happily with her husband Alistair. However, time proves to be a mortals enemy and now something sinister threatens her way of life. Forced to do the impossible, she leaves to find a cure to a disease which has none. If that wasn't enough her prior friends and enemies stand between her and her quest. As she will soon find; not everyone approved of the choices she made in the past. The truth of it all will fracture her mind and her beliefs will be shattered to their very core.
Authors Note- This is my first fanfiction. I decided to do this to help develop my skills as a writer. I hope you all enjoy :). If you did do not forget to vote and leave a comment, it really does help motivate me to keep writing.
Updates will happen every Friday by 11:59AM Eastern Time. Note this may take some time before this is true as I try to edit the previous chapters. However, I will do my best.
So many might ask why I wrote this. I became furious with Bioware for never continuing the Warden's story or even hardly mentioning them. So here I finally realize Bioware never will. So I have decided to take up the task. I also hope to answer some questions about the series that the games have not explained yet. (Note I'm not mad at Bioware, I still love DA2 and DA:I. I just wish the games took a different path).

Veiled Lies and Half-Truths
This story is a Solas x Inquisitor Lavellan fan fiction. It eventually deviates greatly from the actual Dragon Age: Inquisition plot line and focuses more on romance between characters. However, it does contain massive spoilers from all of The Dragon Age games. If you are unfamiliar with the games I provide enough background information and character creation that you will not be lost. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I have enjoyed writing it. I both love and broke for these characters. This book is complete with a little over 250 chapters. However, I have to type and revise it chapter by chapter because most of my writing was done by hand with a bunch of scribbles everywhere. It is a slower build-up to the spice and relationship as I lay out the foundation, but when it starts, it picks up drastically. Don't worry, when it's complete I will list the spice chapters for those of you who are only interested in that. *No judgment because same* There will eventually be a Solas POV for this story. *Eventually* Please make sure to look at the trigger warnings if that is a concern. (This novel is under revision as of 2-5-19 up until I feel the true motivation to scrub through most of my older work. Also this summary is something to be fixed but until then) A thousand years ago the extermination of Earth from unknown circumstances brought about the end of humanity for the planet. The end of animals, most of nature, technology and everything that advanced in between. After Earth's destruction a new life began with the survivors of the near extinction of humanity. They constructed a singular civilization encased in a wall for protection from outside forces, built on the hope to reproduce and thrive with the life they were forced into. Zykard would be the start of a second life for humans But within that time of rebirth some of the survivors surged with horrors of Pre-Reearth. Heresy, treachery, riots, thefts, murders and revolutions. A need to for order was introduced, and brought about the leader of Zykard and seven factions of ten people. A thousand years later theres a change. An outsider appears and seemingly becomes the new leader of Zykard, bringing more hardships with their hopes. Crimson, a seventeen year old girl faces the verge of adulthood. The final trials being the only gap between her new reality. A new injection to be given to everyone after the trials. She will face the ugly second face of what Zykard really is behind the curtains. Face pain she never thought would be possible and lose what she loves the most.
