Taran Rowlins is like any normal sixteen year old girl. She has a best friend, uses more sarcasm than she does makeup, and has boy crushes. Yet, Taran Rowlins is just the opposite of normal. Well, her life is anyways. A disease of sorts has taken over the country. Plaguers are walking around, looking for Normans(normal humans) to give the Mephitic Shot to and make Infectious. Being Infectious means you lose your memories and thoughts about family and friends. The only things remembered are things about yourself that don't includes past of family and friends. It may not sound frightening, but try living in the Infectious world, it'll make anyone run and hide. Just like Taran is doing with her group of friends. Then a couple girls find the runaways and take them to their home, the Alabama, in Miami, Florida. In this place Normans are everywhere. Taran makes new friends and even finds herself some eye candy, eighteen year old Declan Savage. But he isn't just eye candy, he's everything Taran's ever dreamed of in a guy. Then there's the fact that she's the Closer. The girl who will end the Infectious and make everyone's life normal living again. And then there's Plaguer Elsa. She wants Taran, dead or Infectious. Pretty chipper right? Can Taran be the Closer and still be the Taran her friends love so much? Will she stop everything and bring life back to normal? Love and determination come together in this novel to fight for what's right and to try and live without the Plaguers finding them.
