Thea is a not-so-ordinary girl, and the perfect example of an outcast. Her mother died when she was 6, She was diagnosed with paranoia, OCD, and schizophrenia when she was 14, was abandoned by her father when she was 7, and barely survives by herself in her odd little mind of darkness and fate. When her dad abandoned her, he left behind his life savings for Thea to be able to live by herself. She hires her boyfriend to charade as her father when social workers visit her house, continuously attempting once a month to bring her into a home with supervision. Bullied constantly at school for not having parents, Thea one day slips into a coma after attempting to commit suicide by hanging herself in her bathroom, and decides to visit an unusual place called Cyntheria along the way.
