Caroline lives for hockey. It's her whole life. Only one thing though. Hockey is a full contact sport and people get hurt. What happens when Caroline is one of those people and her injury threatens to keep her off the ice forever?
Hockey is Caroline's whole life. There's only one problem though. Hockey is a dangerous sport. So what happens when Caroline takes the hit of a lifetime and winds up in a hospital and the doctors say she might never be able to play hockey again? And things just get worse from there. Caroline is assigned a project with the guy she hates. And worse? The project involves getting to know her partner better. And with everyone feeling sorry for her and trying to help her with everything when she doesn't need nor want it.

🌸 So far, so good. Despite everything, Madeline's still standing, still living - though her life has been upended more than once. Moving from America to England wasn't exactly easy but oddly enough, the return was much simpler. With little more than the bare minimum from her parents, and diabetes always complicating things, she had to rely on her brother for real help. Now, as she steps back into Nashville, she wonders how this might realign her path. Somehow, everything feels like it's falling into place. It's a rule he set for himself. He met his best friend Colin during a hockey game, both rooting for opposite teams. Colin was on the wrong side, of course, but somehow, they became inseparable. Colin has diabetes, so over time, he learned how to help. What he didn't expect was for that knowledge to help him with a girl. A girl more complicated than any genetic disease. Caroline is the daughter of the greatest goalie to ever play the game. Even though her mother passed years before, she followed in her parents footsteps to write, and to write about hockey. She meets up and coming goaltender Corey Crawford on the way to training camp and they quickly become friends. Corey finds her interesting and she sees a lot of her father in him. They hit it off but there's a few problems. One is that Corey is in a relationship whether he wants to admit it or not. Another is that Caroline's sweet and soft personality does not match Corey's dangerous and outgoing one. But in times of need it's each other they lean on and support. Eventually their true feelings come out but the fear is that it is too late. Can they be together or will fate find a way to keep them apart?Complete

"He would and could give her the whole world, but letting her go was the only thing he wouldn't and couldn't." Leonardo Kai, he is definitely on Caroline's never-ending list of enemies. "He's only tolerable because apparently my brother has bad taste in choosing bestfriends," as Caroline always says. But even as delicious as a 6 feet 4 ice hockey player with a well-known reputation of a big package, Caroline isn't attracted to Leonardo. But Caroline is as notorious as Leonardo, known for having a lot one-night-stands. Caroline likes to call it "ethereal fantasies" since it's nice while it lasts but it isn't real as she's had a lot of them with every men, but Leonardo has never even gone to her mind when she's being delusional. As hard enough it is to tolerate Leonardo coming to her house every single night to play games with her brother, but now they have to compete for the valedictorian position and Caroline has had enough with the pent-up frustration she's been having. Caroline Veronica, probably the only woman Leonardo despises. The only thing he loves about her is the fact that she hates him back. And the tension between them grows everyday as they are fighting for the first position in school. But then why does Leonardo feel the need to tease her and make her smile at least once everyday? Leonardo is known for attachment problems which is why he has made one rule : he'll only agree if it's a one-night-stand. But after one incredible night during a party, everything changes. Enemies to "Enemies with benefits". But Caroline isn't scared because a-fuck-buddy-but-not-technically-buddy situation won't change the fact that they both hate each other right? But the same doesn't go with Leonardo as he's infact scared that he's starting to get attached.
