How Far is Heaven? [Naruto]

Kana is the illegitimate child of a prostitute and a shinobi from Konoha.

At a young age she was sent to live with a father she was unsure of. She has half-siblings that arrive unexpectedly at the door with no mothers. At first they were welcoming but Kana turns out to be a burden to her new family when they discover that she was illiterate and only knew how to write her name.
While she was unable to enter the academy and forced to learn from home; the rumours about another love child were already spreading throughout the village like wildfire.
With a prostitute for a mother; they were quick to make assumptions of Kana's future and what type of person she was.

She often yearned to return home. But with the Third Great Shinobi War raging on, civilians are prohibited from going outside. Kana realizes that the only way she could leave Konoha and go back to her biological mother is for her to become a ninja.
But starting at an age much older than the others set her back in her progress.

She would have to learn to deal with hardships and to accept the offers of help that will come her way.
