It is the third week of summer vacation; a time for fun and relaxation since the boys have graduated from the academy. They have the summer off from the academy except for emergency jobs. So then why is Sang feeling so down? She should be living it up. No more hiding her relationships when not in front of parents, no more Mr. Hendricks or Mc Coy, and no more Volto. Ever watchful Owen sees and knows exactly what the problem is. Sang is missing part of her heart. Since school has finished, Sean has been working crazy hours at the hospital. He always takes time to text his Pookie, but there is never time to see her when they are both awake. Thankfully after this Saturday's day shift he will be off for 3 days and he plans to spend them all with Pookie. In fact, he is hoping that Owen can bring her to the hospital Saturday afternoon since he doesn't have much to do. He is second on-call and will only be paged if things get really bad. His main duty though is to carry the most important thing: the Moses pager. What happens to them and their family when the pager goes off?

This is a fan fiction of C L Stone's The Academy series. I don't own the book, the characters or the story line. This a tale of teenage rebellion. Every teenager goes through times of struggle as they strive for independence. The boys on the Blackbourne team has a larger struggle than most. Being a part of the Academy, their teammates are considered their family. Not only are they required to obey Owen Blackbourne and Dr. Sean Green, they must also obey team lead Kota Lee and their blood families. How would you cope trying to find yourself when you have so many people telling you what to do? Which one has your best interest at heart? Blood family or chosen family? Which is more important? Is family truly a choice or is it the creation of someone desperate to belong?
