Two girls venture out into the woods, following the path of Butterfly's Trail to take a simple walk, get some exercise, and just talk. The path is covered in butterflies. But one sticks out. It's big, blue and beautiful and graceful. It wants them to follow it. Feeling curious, they do; only to find they're being followed by a strange man. They dive into the water after this butterfly, thinking they can escape, only to find themselves in places they'd never imagined. This Butterfly's Trail isn't as innocent as they'd thought.

Well, he's instantly proven wrong when he gets chased down by police and finds himself in the middle of the woods with somebody other that a cop. Somebody who doesn't appear to be human at all. The... thing introduces himself as Ben, a supposed ghost who's "on the run" from something too, although Jeff isn't sure what. But it's definitely not law enforcement. After trying to avoid Ben and being unsuccessful, he finally caves and lets him stick around for a while, realizing that they might have a lot more in common than he originally thought. Together, they evade capture and learn much more about each other than they thought they would. But just how attached is Jeff going to get to this guy? And why does he remind him of someone he was close to? Some of those humans have become spirits haunted by their past and are forced to be stuck on this earth until they find peace. There are monstrous creatures that take pleasure in destroying humanity. A tall creature without a face roams the earth using his telepathic abilities to control the minds of youths. There are many other creatures, but those will be talked about later. You are a part of this world, a 21-year-old female named Rose. You have made friends with a few mind controlled killers. The infamous Jeff the killer, what most people would call the twitching annoying freak Ticksie Toby, and the sweet little eight-year-old ghost child known as Sally. Somehow, you and your three best friends have managed to sneak away from the faceless man, and have been hidden away in a cabin in the middle of the woods. You have been staying there for almost 2 months. Now, what will happen if one of your friends gets injured?
