In an alternative universe, the tension between the Russians and Americans lasts much longer than through the 1980s. In fact, after years of experimenting, the Russian government has finally created young, living super soldiers. Their scientists have made breakthroughs in neurobiology, the structure of human DNA, and embryology that allows them to miraculously create several human traits together and then nurture and grow these artificial humans in an incubation chamber. Dozens of these experiments have failed over the last several decades, but there is finally a breakthrough in 2005. However, this breakthrough is a tragic end for the scientists who helped create and grow this artificial human. Waking up in the middle of the summer in a Russian laboratory, Nick breaths his first breath and starts his journey in this new world. He knows nothing of the language or the world around him, but he has help navigating with the help of another artificial human. Cursed with a violent start to his life, Nick and his friend must run from the Russian government across the globe just to survive. These two start their journey in Russia, manage to make it to France, and find their final destination the United States of America, which they understand is the home of the free and the brave. However, they learn reality is not always what it seems. Join Nick and Nikki as they seek to live a normal life in America, despite everything about them and the life they live being everything but normal.

This story kind of explains why I have problems finishing stories, u have ideas then it like how do I make them not so cliché or cringe worthy. A short story with a semi finished ending, it leaves me a bit of wriggle room to add to, if I decide to. Any similarities or references are purely for fiction and I did not base this story on anything except if the third world war started. It is fiction people. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in. I pull my ice axe out of the head of the zombie I just killed and put my gun back in, to immediately reach for my knife, and directly throwing at a Z. 3... We continue killing. 4... 5... 6... I hear them all breath heavily. 7... Shit, my arm starts hurting, but I can't stop, or else I get killed. I deepen my ice axe into one zombie, and push another one away with my leg, to hit it afterwards. 8... 9... *Not edited* #3 in virus #10 in Mutation #17 in Zombies #35 in disaster #43 in disease

60 days before the apocalypse started, there was a weird sighting found in Yakutsk, Russia. It looked to be a normal person on the snowy road, but upon further inspection, there was something... Off. This person smelled horrid, his skin was bloated, some parts rotted, his entrails were out, and even some bone peeked out out them. People suspected that this was just a person who likely froze to death, or was ran over, but contrary to that belief, the person was never alive. When they went to check on the body again, it was gone. The police who were called to investigate thought this whole situation was a joke, a waste of time. They never believed the citizens due to no evidence and listed it off as something nonsensical and at best a myth around the area. What started off as a myth now became a daunting reality, as the start of the apocalypse occurs. We are introduced to our protagonist, William (Will) he grew up in London and moved to the US. Renting out an apartment so he can spend more quality time with his love interest. He had a fairly normal life until the the apocalypse started, spreading from Siberia to Mongolia to China, and so fourth. William's reality was turned upside down. The face of a wit, joyful and humorous man became a confused, aggravated and troubled person trying to cheer himself up. He became more impertinent and insensitive ever since his lover became infected and he chose to stay in his apartment recording the apocalypse. Which leads us to the first chapter...
