Ten year old Quinn Pryce was kidnapped in a park while chasing a butterfly. She was injected with an odd chemical made from two different stones. She was able to see things the normal person couldn't. The voices in your head. The odd scratches you get when you wake up. The weird shape you see out of the corner of your eye, but when you turn around nothing's there. She can see, hear, and feel them. All too clearly for her taste.

Now that she's older,  it's getting worst. They're closing in on her and on other humans. The main Shadow is wanting to reign over the human race and Quinn has to stop him.Todos los derechos reservados

Her only escape from this twisted reality is a creature named Shadow. A terrifying creature that is somehow more humane than the so-called humans around her. Shadow could easily take all her problems away, but Melody refuses to take the easy way out. That is, until she just couldn't take it anymore, she takes Shadow's offer and soon her life got better. Her bullies started disappearing, showing up dead in the woods. Their bodies badly mutilated, almost unrecognizable. Life at school started getting better, she finally had human friends and even a boyfriend. Her "father" was found dead at her house. The torture had finally ended. Unfortunately this story doesn't have a happy ending, after all karma always strikes back.
