Goldie, short for Goldilocks, isn't your typical girl-she's not even sure what she is, but it's definitely not typical. Living in a sleepy, unremarkable town, her life has been relatively uneventful. But everything changes when her father announces plans to send her to a remote boarding school, situated on a desolate stretch of coast in the middle of nowhere. His sudden decision is influenced by his fiancée, who seems desperate to get Goldie out of the picture.  Her friends suddenly turn away from her and with nobody to comfort her. Goldie decides to take matters into her own hands, as in runaway before she's forced to leave. Unfortunately, it turns out that running away isn't easy especially when mythical creatures are involved. Goldie soon finds herself in a cabin with three vampires that would do anything to keep her away from a Vampire Queen that wants her innocent heart. Literally.
