When Maddie, a fallen movie star's contract doesn't get renewed she is humiliated. After being mauled by fans and harassed by the press Maddie goes into hiding. She goes to a quaint far away island to live with her grandmother. Forgetting her past and making a few small changes Maddie is able to settle into life as a normal girl. Then she meets Shaun, a mysterious and charming islander who for some reason seems to know everything about her. Thinking she can protect herself from him Maddie tries to befriend the handsome stranger only to fall for him. Little does she know he's got his own intentions and secrets. Trying to get the upper hand Maddie tries to learn a few secrets but will she like what she finds? And will falling in love with him just drag her deeper and deeper into the dark? Is this seemingly normal islander more than he seems?
