Zenix, a committer of treason to his village and to the Shadow Knights, has a past unbearably menacing. Living in the poor village of God Grave with only his cruel father alive, Zenix tries to still dream of a wonderful future. His best friend, Zella, lives with her mother, but is rarely seen anywhere but at Zenix's side. Hearts beat in time. Lips touch. Lives collide. Blood is shed over love countless times and Zenix can't bare this much longer. Meanwhile, the son of the lord of Okasis, Garroth, tries to escape the looming future before him of marrying the lord of Scaleswind's daughter. He may succeed in doing so, and his life turns around when he meets a young, scarred boy in the forest and takes him home. Zenix and Garroth's lives are now one in the same. But Garroth is destined for greatness, while Zenix can't seem to dream of the future any longer. How did it all end up this way?
