Walking into the mansion with Jer made me nervous. I'm basically trailer trash and this place is built for kings. It makes me wonder how is Jer so important that he lives here. How rich is his family?

"Jer! It's happening again! Do you feel it?" A man rushes into the room where Jer and I had just walked into I immediately shiver in delight at the sound of his voice. I turn around and see the man.

I only see his eyes. His chocolate pools that stare into mine as if searching. I feel the need to go towards him. I take one step which he matches with a step back. My heart clenches as he holds out a hand as if saying "stay away".

"Fuck. Jer, grab her," his deep voice commands as he runs a hand through his hair in frustration.

I look towards Jericho in alarm. Ever since the man saw me Jer has been in a state of shock but after the demand, he quickly scurried over to grab me.

I back peddled away from him and turned around to sprint in the opposite direction at the door suddenly scared.

Hands secure around my waist and I'm flipped over someone's shoulder. I fight relentlessly against the holder.

"What's going on?" I cry.

Jer rubs my back soothingly before saying, "I'm so sorry. You'll understand why he does this. Trust me."
