Death, Zee, Jax, and Jay are in a band called "In Plain Sight."
Jay, the band's drummer and acting manager, gets a call from the band they're supposed to be touring with asking IPS not to tour with them. Coincidentally, the tour manager of the band that Zee and Death specifically idolize calls and asks them to open for them for the rest of the tour.

Black Veil Brides.
