Maddi and her family had been informed of her grandmothers death at the old persons home a few blocks away and they were retrieving her things from the home when Maddi came across an old diary with the name Elizabeth Marigold-Lawson printed neatly inside the front cover. This was her great-great grandmothers diary...! Reading this diary would have major consequences on Maddi's life and would make her have to be braver than ever before to get herself out of this mess!
