When a new student, Rafe arrives at school, Skye befriends him. 
She is about to turn 13 and come of age. Rafe gets bullied and she tries sticking up for him, which ends up with her growing wings and embracing her half demon side. A wizard named Mar is after her, along with three strange demons who are raising an army. Her eyes are finally open to the real world of magic that her parents risked their lives to keep her from.
