Maura has been fighting her whole life. When things got bad and she didn't think they could get worse, they did. She would hit below rock bottom, but she had her twin.
When her twin dies from a cage fight, social service intervenes in her home life and whisks her away to a foster home without catching her little secrets.
With a new family and other kids just as screwed as her, she has to make something work. But she wouldn't set herself up for disappointment.
Walls. She has so many walls. Those four boys are going to have to break those walls, and they have a fighting chance.
But Maura's also a fighter. An experienced one. It's all she's been doing her entire life.
Though, maybe Maura should stop fighting, and let someone else win for once.
