Toya was what you called that bitch. Her pretty face, thick waist and honey brown skin is what got her the hood Princess title. Bodegas, BBQs every weekend, and dope boys screaming, "Yo pink dress," is what embraced her. The older she got the more she had to keep up with her status, her acrylics stayed fresh, toes stayed polished, and the best hairstylist around always piped her bundles. She had her pretty face and thick thighs to thank for that. Once she had learned that it only took one look to make these niggas melt, she used it to her advantage. She had no problem with fucking these niggas for some money, but the hood Princess had to let them know that it wasn't cheap. While the streets embraced her and made her who she is, her abusive home life made her step it up a notch. She was only 18 but the fast life had sucked her in. Once she found out how easy it was to get that cold cash, she had vowed to never go back no matter what.

Book 2 Ri'Kina couldn't tell up from down. Her Mother kicked her out when she was 15. She was sent to live with her other family. Family that she did not know. From one abusive situation to the next. Ri'Kina was forced to navigate her life. A life that she did not want. She quickly learned that being light skinned wasn't cool. Where was her acceptance? She had always felt like a outsider regardless. Unwanted and barely tolerated by both sides. What was so bad about being mixed? She wondered. Why was it a factor in her life?
